The Office of Faculty Development is providing a new virtual workshop, "Active Learning Strategies: Virtual Possibilities," June 17, 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. This 90 minute workshop is designed to support current faculty, graduate students, and part-time instructors with insights into how to engage students through active learning strategies in the university supported platforms of E-learning, WebEx Meetings, and WebEx Training. The workshop will include a breakout session through WebEx Training and demonstrations of how to use select E-learning and WebEx functionalities to support more interactive, collaborative learning. The Office of Faculty Development will host an information table at the University Libraries’ Teaching and Learning Technology Day on Friday, March 22 from 10 am to 3 pm. The event will be held in the Lower Level, Waldo Library. Our table will showcase our teaching and learning activities and services. The goal of the Teaching and Learning Technology Day is to introduce more campus faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants to new teaching and learning tools in Waldo Library that can be used in their classes. These tools include Virtual Reality Lab, Makerspace, Learning Glass Studio, Graduate Student Commons. Join The Office of Faculty Development this Wednesday at the Cool Tools Workshop: Interconnectivity of Web Apps: One Note
This workshop provides exposure to the OneNote app, a digital notebook that allows you to gather your notes in whatever form they take (audio, video, text, drawings, etc.) and to share them with others. OIT staff will provide hands-on training.
Target Audience: All employees who want to get more use out of their Microsoft Office and Microsoft Applications to increase productivity and efficiency. Faculty and TA's might find OneNote particularly useful as a means to network notes with students.
