Wellspring Dance Academy

Join us for our immersive choreography camp led by Wellspring’s Artistic Director, Marisa Bianan ✨

Each day, we’ll dive into a different choreographic element, such as time, space, dynamics, and lighting/production! 🎭

Camp attendees will customize their own journal on Day 1 to keep throughout the camp to log their choreography and new knowledge. Each day will conclude with time for the dancers to set choreography as an individual, and as a group.

Our last day will feature Technical Director, Sam Snow. Sam works with the students to light their newly created works to present on the last day of camp. Dancers will also receive a video copy of their performance 📽

Move with us at our Train Like a Dancer camp! Geared for ages 9+, this camp will teach your dancer how to train their body and mind for personal growth and creative confidence ✨

Each day will start with theraband exercises to establish proper strengthening and conditioning. Each camp attendee will receive a theraband kit so they can continue their progress at home!

Learn from professional dancers and teaching artists at Wellspring—A joyful space where professional artists and everyday movers grow together ✨

EPIC BROADWAY! is a collaboration between Crescendo Academy of Music and Wellspring Academy. Camp activities will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day ✨

Prior to the start of the week, each camper will choose, in collaboration with our vocal teaching artists, a musical theater song that fits the camp’s theme. Monday’s schedule will start with an Orientation Session. The week will culminate in a group Concert for sharing with family and friends!

Work with teaching artists who have spent decades teaching and coaching singers in vocal technique and acting specifically for the musical stage.

Embrace your authentic self and discover your True Colors at our Rainbow Dance Camp designed for movers Ages 7-10 🌈

In this camp, we will delve into grounding ourselves and gaining confidence by drawing inspiration from a multitude of colors! We will celebrate our identities and learn to lead with pride ✨

Daily class will include a warm-up, dance technique, movement exploration, yoga, mindfulness/meditation, snack time, and daily colorful crafts.

Led by Anna Morris, recent Western Michigan University graduate with a BA in Arts Administration and a minor in Dance.

Join us at Wellspring for our own animal explorer adventure, featuring a special visit from the Kalamazoo Nature Center 🌳

Daily class includes creative movement explorations inspired by a variety of animals, snack, dance technique, animal crafts, and dance games. We’ll learn about the animals and walks of life that are native to Michigan and express ourselves through movement. We hope you’re able to join us for this wildly fun camp! 🐻

Dancers ages 12+ are invited to four days of modern movement and floor work with Wellspring—a nationally recognized dance organization guided by compassion, creativity, and community. ✨

Learn the history and development of modern dance through the years, develop your modern technique, and build on repertoire daily for an informal, choreographed showing at the end of the week.

Modern & Floorwork will be led by Kaitlyn Po***ck, who is devoted to serving, inspiring, and elevating the Kalamazoo dance community. ✨

Epic Broadway Musical Theater Camp returns this summer! Join us for a week--or two!--of specialized training and education in Vocal Musical Theater!

For students ages 13-17.

Week 1: June 22 - June 26 Theme: All That Jazz & The Great American Songbook
Week 2: July 6 - July 10 Theme: The Animated Songbook

Camp runs 9 am to 4 pm each day, with a finale concert Friday evening.
