It's National 4-H Week! 4-H is more than what you think. 4-H is helping to make youth Beyond Ready!

The registration is open for the YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) session of your choice. Pick which ever one works best for your family but don't wait until the last minute. There are only 16 seats for the April session due to room capacity.

YQCA has made a few changes for this year:

1. Youth will no longer need to take a pre-test
2. Once a youth takes the class they will still need to take the post session survey.
3. During the post session survey families will have the opportunity to share their certificate with the instructor of their session. This is recommended so that there isn't an additional step in sending the certificate to staff members.

If your child(ren) have taken the class before you should not have to create a new profile.

Join 4-H staff as we take a look into life working with fisheries and wildlife!

This month’s 4-H Wild Spartans Series will explore the world of helping threatened and endangered wildlife. Join us on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026 at 6:30pm EST for “Protecting Michigan's Threatened and Endangered Species.” You will meet Abigail Lippert, intern with Environment for the Americas hosted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Michigan Field Office. You’ll learn about her work, and the education and career path she followed to get there.

Youth will be encouraged to ask questions to learn more through a live Q&A. This free virtual series is open to 4-H and non-4-H youth ages 12-19 years. Monthly sessions will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm EST. Pre-registration is required: https://pears.io/events/msuext/9307/
