Our E-Board had the opportunity to attend the Michigan Council for Exceptional Children conference in Grand Rapids this past weekend.

We loved connecting with other educators, future educators, and advocates while learning new ideas, and growing together so we can better support & advocate for our future students!

Thank you to everyone who came to our SCEC Valentine’s Day event! We are so grateful for the amazing turnout and for each and every person who made the event so special!

We loved coming together to make Valentine’s Day cards for the Boys & Girls Club and the kids at the McGinnis Reading Center. We couldn’t have made all those cards without you! 💌

Dr. Emily Curiel is recruiting for Project SHINE! Ten scholars will earn an M.A. in Early Childhood General and Special Education: Birth through Kindergarten, and ten scholars will earn an M.A. in Behavior Analysis. An info session will be held on Jan, 28 at 12pm or 8pm via Dr. Curiel's WebEx!

We had so much fun with Best Buddies and the Student Autism Alliance of Michigan at our event yesterday! We spent our Friendsgiving preparing for CEHD’s Cares Day next week, playing games, enjoying treats, and making new friends. Thank you to everyone who came!

Join us tomorrow at 3:30pm in Rood Hall 2271 to workshop with a guest speaker from the Disability Network of Southwest Michigan! We will be learning about and discussing hidden disabilities.

We’re back! Come join us for our first Fall 2025 meeting. We will be decorating tote bags, making ice cream sundaes, and learning more about SCEC and our plans for this semester. We would love to see you on September 23 at 3:30pm in Room 2209 of the WMU Student Center!
