Adler The Therapy Dog

My heart is heavy today. I will be taking a medical leave from my duties and privileges as I recover from surgery to repair a knee injury. My awesome surgeon at says that I’m a really tough case but she knows that she can help me out and get me walking on all fours again. I’m so grateful for excellent medical care! While I’m home recovering, my little sister will be finishing her training with and taking her therapy dog tests so she can be official- like me! -and continue to work with our mom at and around Kalamazoo. See you next fall!

I’m a trend-setter! My fluffy little sis is getting ready to follow me into the biz! Help me welcome Ivy to the super amazing life of therapy work. She’s still in training, but I’ll help get her where she’s going, “fur sure!”

Serious business! We spent some time with the hard-working students at Western Michigan University’s Irving S. Gilmore School of Music, congratulating and comforting young musicians on their way to and from their finals and performance juries! Mom wishes she had been able to snuggle with therapy dogs when she was doing her own juries 30+ years ago!

I wish emergency vet hospitals could have their own therapy dogs! My brother got hurt yesterday and had to have a scary surgery in the middle of the night. I wish I could be there to give him all my love and comfort!

I work from home with The Boss on Thursdays, which means I have my very own four-legged clients. We practiced supportive silence this week. And then I napped.
