#🟦 It is important to understand GOD's Truth -- which is central to living fully -- in light of the world we are living in today.
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
James 1:5 NLT

To read The Bible in 1 year, read and engage deeply with this today. It is the difference between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and TRUE Intelligence (TI):
John 21
2 Samuel 7, 8
Psalm 63
(Proverbs 11)

“At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.”
John 21:4-6 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.21.4-6.NLT
The resurrected Jesus takes them back to the original miracle He worked when He first called Peter, James, and John from Luke 5. This is the turning point in time when they would all soon connect with the Holy Spirit, and through them He would begin to transform all of humanity and world culture.
“After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”
“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.
Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
“Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.”
“Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.
A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.”
John 21:15-17 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.21.15-17.NLT
Peter denied Jesus 3 times at His trial, and here Jesus restores Peter, but not without challenging him with very hard questions. The first two questions, Jesus is referring to ’agapao’, which is more of a sacrificial love. It is the Greek version of ‘agape’, or the love of God, which is a self-sacrificing love—which Jesus demonstrated for all of humanity, for all time! And Peter responds both times with ‘phileo’ rather than affirming the challenge to self-sacrificial love. And Jesus doesn’t seem to entirely accept Peter’s answer. So, with His third challenge, Jesus effectively asks Peter, “Are you even my friend?” (Phileo). Put yourself in Peter’s shoes! Jesus didn’t settle for superficial answers from Peter, and He isn’t going to settle for superficial responses from us today. As Christ-followers (versus ‘Christians’) today, we are called to lay down our lives for our families and then our brothers and sisters.
“Peter turned around and saw behind them the disciple Jesus loved—the one who had leaned over to Jesus during supper and asked, “Lord, who will betray you?” Peter asked Jesus, “What about him, Lord?” Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.””
John 21:20-22 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.21.20-22.NLT
Immediately after being restored, “Mr. Impetuous” takes is eyes off Jesus—physically and spiritually—and seeks comparison with John. Jesus rebukes the question and reiterates His Command to follow him. Therefore, whatever ministry you are working in, don’t compare it with others to evaluate your level of success. However, yes, collaborate and seek better ways to improve and spread the Gospel more effectively every day.
“So the rumor spread among the community of believers that this disciple wouldn’t die. But that isn’t what Jesus said at all. He only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?””
John 21:23 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.21.23.NLT
Jesus makes a veiled reference here to the Imminence of His return for the church prior to His Second Coming after His Ascension, the arrival of the Holy Spirit, widespread teaching of the Gospel, and Peter’s death at a ripe old age [MBC p.1663]. All of these prophesied events have happened. Therefore, the catching away (a.k.a., The Rapture of The Church), can happen at any moment. This may not jive with the common interpretation of this verse and this passage, but either way, this is at least Jesus confirming yet again that He is coming back!
“I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!”
2 Samuel 7:9 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/2sa.7.9.NLT
If you are known by God as someone who is after God’s own heart, then your enemies will be destroyed and your name will be famous in Heaven.
“For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong…Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’””
2 Samuel 7:12, 16 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/2sa.7.12.NLT
This is my prayer for all of my grandchildren and all of my descendants from now until the New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven to the New Earth.
“…Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?…And now, O Lord God, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever…For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant. And now, may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you have spoken, and when you grant a blessing to your servant, O Sovereign Lord, it is an eternal blessing!””
2 Samuel 7:18, 25, 28-29 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/2sa.7.18.NLT
What an amazing family you have given me and what an amazing life! The word, “Blessing” is appropriate, but somehow it seems inadequate. Your promises are true and Your Love is completely unfathomable to me!
“So David reigned over all Israel and did what was just and right for all his people.”
2 Samuel 8:15 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/2sa.8.15.NLT
This verse characterizes King David’s reign. It was marked by justice, which is commanded in Deuteronomy 16. And justice is a key attribute of God’s character and His Laws of human relationships. As Christ-followers we must always seek Justice for the impoverished, the infirm, the unborn, and victims of abuse and oppression, whether in our communities or across the globe.
“I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.”

“Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.”
Psalms 63:7-8 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.63.7-8.NLT
“But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin. They will go down into the depths of the earth. They will die by the sword and become the food of jackals.”
Psalms 63:9-10 NLT

The demonic world doesn’t stand a chance against You, LORD! Thank you!
