Connection. It is a word that could mean many different things depending on who you ask. Link connection to mental health and there is all the more possibilities.
This is something I have been curious about lately. How does our mental health impact our ability to connect with others and ourselves? Personally, I have struggled with bringing about sustainable connection in my life. I have spoken to and coached many individuals who have dealt with this as well. Sometimes, people with mental health issues are viewed as being too much or they may isolate so the connection is never able to happen in the first place.
For those of you out there that relate to this, answer me this.
What are your biggest frustrations about connection?

We often put too much pressure on ourselves to perform, especially in the beginning of the year. There is so much we want to achieve that our brains turn it into this big unattainable vision.
Luckily, each day we can give ourselves grace and ask, what is the smallest possible step I can take today to achieve my goal? This reframe allows our brains the space to adjust our expectations and create sustainable progress.

Holidays can be so hard for many of us, so it's important to take time to care for ourselves. Simply taking some moments each day to assess what it is our bodies or minds need can do wonders.
Take time to watch a movie, take a bath, read a book, whatever is most relaxing and rejuvenating to you.
Remember, in the time of giving, you must fill your own cup before you are able to fill others.
