Invite your friends and tell them to pack a lunch, because KA is going on, not one, but ✌🏼 TWO ✌🏼 field trips this month!

On Friday, September 19th, take a trip with our school to visit the serene and beautiful Waimea Valley. 😍🌿 This program will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will give your children the opportunity to learn about significant cultural practices. 🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️ Admission will be $5 per child and $6 per adult.

Then, on Thursday, September 25th, prepare to join us at the historic Bishop Museum! 🕍 Participants should arrive by 9:30 a.m. to be able to enjoy the whole experience. 🤓 You and your child will also get to tour the Hawaiian Hall, Science Adventure Center, J. Watumull Planetarium, plus so much more! 🥳

Another week of masterpieces created by our wonderful KA family! 🤗

This week, we studied Impressionism 👩‍🏫, specifically the works of the French artist Claude Monet. 🧐 (see his photo at the end of this album!) ⬇️

After learning the importance of Monet's work, particularly his ability to capture light and atmosphere within his paintings, our students were up to the challenge of recreating similar pieces! 🧩

We are currently working on developing 🛠 the details of our future art offerings, so be sure to follow along here on our page, as well as on our website ‼️ kosasa.org ‼️

Happy Friday! We have had quite the productive first two weeks of school! 🤩🥳

Our students have already been booked and busy with horse riding 🏇, deck art 🧑🏽‍🎨, water balloons 💧, and writing paragraphs ✏️, as well as rounding numbers 🔣 and graphing data 📈.

We are looking forward to a lovely, long Labor Day weekend, where our students will enjoy a well-deserved break from all their hard work. 👏🏼 We ended our week with our excellent art instructor, Mrs. Janus, who taught our students the beauty of creating collages! 🔸🔹🔻🟢🟧

We had great fun learning about and creating art related to the talented Piet Mondrian!

Art classes start Monday! 🎉

Registration for Art Class is still open! The Summer 2025 Art Block will focus on Color Theory. 🎨

Students will apply their knowledge of color theory 🌈 through various media, including painting 🖌, coloring 🖍, drawing ✏️, and other creative methods 🙌🏼. Artwork will be created individually and in groups 👫🏼.

Art Class is available weekdays until July 18th, from 🕧 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.! Come as often as you'd like! 💫 We will be offering this course for all ages. 🤩

Art Sessions are $20 per class, with all materials included!
