There's SO MUCH good happening around us — give thanks... Keep Focused.
Go Anywhere by Sail celebrated its 5 year anniversary on July 1, 2019. Amazing!
We all are developing ourselves and growing beyond where we'd be if we hadn't decided to go anywhere by sail.
PRESENTLY: I'm in deep conversations with a Parent of a 10yo sailor who (we hope) will soon join our small and powerful group: Go Anywhere by Sail... This young man is extraordinary ... we aim to help him develop solid-skills as a competitive youth sailor. This is a profound undertaking for all of us because I personally have a reputation for working with winners — like you.
Frankly, what makes the Go Anywhere by Sail group SO wonderful in my opinion is how hard we all work toward our sailing goals, WHILE, remaining always open to learning and growing.
My sailing roots are firmly planted in performance sailing, and racing is the only thing I did for my first 15-20 years of sailing ... Racers, unfortunately (and, in general) believe that sailors outside of "racing" suck — their words, not mine (just ask 'em); and, I strongly disagree. I also disagree that "racing" is a good way to advance one's skill: un-true, in my opinion. The advancement of everything we do in life to improve ourselves is always based on self motivation.
The more self motivated someone is, the further they will advance themselves, every time.
Two years ago I created the Sailing Mastermind paradigm for sail coaching: I was the first person in the sport of sailing to do this; it's not an easy paradigm to lead, but I (and the master-minders) are doing it!
The successful results are evident.
My Mastermind is NOT a "Master Class" — the Master Class truly sucks as an education mechanism unless you measure its performance as a marketing funnel for the coach.
Two years ago (on this calendar date), I had not sold a single berth in my Alenuihaha Expeditions (it was its inauguration). However, that year in 2022, I rallied five incredible sailors wanting to join me and face the Alenuihaha... Subsequently, we mounted two Alenui summit attempts and we completed one in that December; our November attempt presented us with absolutely deadly conditions and we aborted.
TODAY, my third year aiming to summit the Alenuihaha as guided learning program — I'm proud to say, we have completely FILLED three Alenuihaha Expeditions for this winter season: Nov, Dec, Jan; and, over the past few days I've spoken with two additional serious sailors who want to commit to a summit attempt in February of 2025 — this will be the maximum effort that maintains high quality instruction, and preservation of spirit.
The Heavy Weather Sailing Mastermind is a 9-week REQUIRED TRAINING program for every Alenuihaha team member, that requires homework to be presented live by the master-minder in our calls and written posts within our group... The training is the change-agent for high quality sailing-actions that won't exist elsewhere in the field of sailing education for as long as I can mentally and physically push the threshold of sail-coaching innovation — my personal goal for my training programs is that they remain the best they can be, because I plan to rely on the benefits of the training as a means of making life-saving, go/no-go decisions.
You too can join my Heavy Weather Sailing Mastermind even if you're not crossing the Alenuihaha with me.
There may not be a "next year" for any of us. I only run the Mastermind once per year. Do it, you will value this!
If you join my Heavy Weather Mastermind — I will guide you on your own Personal Sailing Everest and you will design and undertake your own heavy weather mission, on-the-water, with the group's masterful help to uncover and solve unforeseen problems — most importantly, you'll taking action and positively affect your life.
The mastermind prepares your entire sailing program for Total Readiness.
This is a special.
Be thankful for all you have.
Keep Focused.
Reach out to me — I will help you sail well.
Aloha,
Paul Exner
