We picked the worst possible night to go out and interact with magnificent Manta Rays at . The water was very murky and the moon was still behind the horizon. Ambient lighting was minimal yet within minutes we were approached by Kona's famous Mantas. We discovered that the rays were very curious of the water craft, positioning themselves right up to the viewing window. The water craft does not have a propeller or external protrusions that could harm these beautiful creatures......
