We’re excited to kick off GIG Week (Getting Into God) with a special week of worship, teaching, and growing together as an ʻohana! 💜
Our goal for GIG Week is to help establish our school theme of ʻOHANA and encourage our students to better understand what it means to be part of the FAMILY OF GOD. 🙏

🎶 Friday Celebration
We’ll close the week with extended worship and a special time of honoring students who have demonstrated what it means to be an ENCOURAGER in their class.

🌺 Palani Campus GIG Week: Getting Into God! 🌺

This week, we’re excited to celebrate GIG Week — Getting Into God with a series of special chapels designed to help our students grow in their faith and deepen their understanding of what it means to be part of the Family of God.

Our school theme this year is ʻOHANA, and GIG Week gives us a wonderful opportunity to explore what it means to belong to one another, encourage one another, and walk together as God’s family. 💜

🙌 Special Chapel Speakers
We’ll have a different guest speaker for our three main chapel events at 8:20am on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, giving our students opportunities to hear different perspectives and be challenged in their walk with Jesus.

🎶 Friday: Extended Worship & Celebration
We’ll close the week with a special chapel featuring extended worship and a time to honor students who have demonstrated what it means to be an ENCOURAGER in their class.

❤️ We would love for you to join us for chapel this week! Your presence matters, and there is something special about coming together as an ʻohana to worship, learn, encourage, and grow.

Getting Into God

GIG Week is a special time for our Middle & High School students to pause, worship, grow in their faith, and experience meaningful community together. Throughout the week, students will gather for daily worship and chapel, creating intentional opportunities to seek God and hear His voice.

We invite our entire Makua Lani ʻOhana to join us in prayer! 💜 Please pray for our special guests, our staff, and our students—that God would prepare their hearts, speak clearly through His Word, and move in powerful ways throughout the week.

As we continue exploring what ʻOhana means, we are reminded that our greatest belonging is found in Christ.

At Makua Lani, ʻohana reminds us that we are called to care for one another, encourage one another, and walk together in faith. We are not simply a school community—we are people who belong to God and to one another.

Our student leaders kicked off the year with a meaningful morning of worship, vision casting, and connection. These students have the privilege of leading weekly prayer groups on campus, creating spaces where their peers can grow in faith, encourage one another, and seek God together.

We’re excited to see how God will use these young leaders to serve, inspire, and make an impact throughout the school year! 💜🦁.
