The Institute for Hawaiian Music (IHM) is seeking aspiring musicians wishing to establish mentor relationships with successful and professional musicians for training and guidance in composing, performing, recording, and marketing in the Hawaiian Music genre. This one-of-a-kind musical mentorship opportunity that is dedicated to the perpetuation and preservation of Hawaiian music and create future performing artists through establishing mentor relationships with successful Hawaiian musicians.

We enjoyed a marvelous visit by George Kahumoku Jr, Daniel Ho, and Tia Carrere today. They shared some songs and stories and answered questions from the crowd. Tia enjoyed her hang time with Aunty Marie and some of our IHM students. Mahalo to all who came!

Music Studies and the Institute of Hawaiian Music at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College present Grammy Award-winners George Kahumoku, Jr., Daniel Ho and Tia Carrere in a live performance, talk story, and question and answer session.
