The Maui Master Gardener volunteer program is an educational outreach program administered by the University of Hawaii Cooperative Extension Service.

ining to volunteers under the leadership of land-grant universities. To date over 94,865* people have become Master Gardeners nationwide since the program begun. The Master Gardener program is a certification program which is recognized nationwide. In Hawaii, the Master Gardener Program began in 1988.

🌿More Coconut Rhinoceros Beetles Detected on Maui

🌿On June 15, State agriculture officials confirmed the detection of additional dead coconut rhinoceros beetles (CRB) in monitoring traps in Waikapū. While no live adult beetles or larvae have been found, agencies continue to survey nearby palms, compost piles, and other potential breeding sites.
🌿Officials stress that early detection remains the best defense against the beetle becoming established on Maui.

Our annual Maui Master Gardeners Plant Sale was a resounding success yesterday. It was a tremendous outreach event for the community with wonderful teamwork and camaraderie for our dedicated Maui Master Gardeners. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special.

A beautiful day spent making gift baskets for our Mother’s Day plant sale on May 9th! Huge, thanks to our great Maui Master Gardener team for their creativity and camaraderie and making this day so much fun!

Maui Master Gardeners Annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale

Come celebrate the Mom’s in your life with an expanded selection of native plants, gift plants and bouquets, and hard to find vegetables!
Where: UH Maui College Campus, 310 Ka’ahumanu Ave, Kahului.

We will be featuring an array of hard to find veggies, native plants and special gifts (including gorgeous, custom succulent and flower arrangements), as well as our famous honey on sale for the moms in your life! Our friendly, knowledgeable Maui Master Gardeners will help you find the perfect plant or gift arrangement.
Bonus! We will feature a Ti leaf lei making demonstration at 9am. Two Fruit Fly Classes 10am and 12pm, so shop for plants and attend any of these great classes!
Our Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer any of your gardening questions at our “Ask a Master Gardener Booth”. Quantities are limited so plan to shop early! Hope to see you there!
