On this beautiful lei day in Hawaii, we lost a beloved member of our music Ohana. Blythe Douglas has been apart of our family for decades. He was a fantastic piano mover, a hard worker and a man who always brought his loving energy into all of his jobs. We can’t even fathom his loss, and our deepest condolences go to his wife and two children.
He passed away this morning due to a heart attack while moving a piano.

We love you Blythe, a hui hou.

In our current location (@ Queen Kaahumanu Center) despite having to downsize, we have already hosted two wonderful events in 2018!

Our first concert was directed and produced by Kaila Pojas, a senior at Baldwin High School. Her teacher, Ruth Murata-Eisen, is the owner and founder of the conservatory, and has been teaching Kaila for the past 13 years. She accompanied Kaila in her final piece, Mozart Concerto in A Major K. 488. She involved many friends from different high schools across the island to perform in her recital that she created for her senior project.
Congratulations Kaila, we are very proud of you!

Aloha Facebook friends and family,

Maui Music Conservatory is a locally owned business that has taught thousands of children and adults on Maui for over 30 years. We provide music lessons, piano sales and rentals, and we also hold many non-profit concerts for multiple organizations. We have been blessed to be at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center for the past 10 years. However, due to a different direction for the mall, we were forced to move to a much smaller unit that can barely accommodate us as it is.

As a family owned business, we cannot afford the new standards the mall is requiring of us to remain in the unit. Therefore, we are looking for a new space for the future. This is a heartbreaking reality for us, and we would appreciate any suggestions you may know of!

We have hundreds of talented young musicians under our instruction and will not give up on finding a space that will work!

Must be:
• Centrally located in Kahului or Wailuku
• Minimum 2,000 square feet
• Long term lease preferred
• Safe for children
• Parking with minimum 15 spaces

*** If there aren’t rooms already built we have to build walls and construct the music school out of pocket. This is a huge issue for us!

Please message me directly if you have a suggestion!
Mahalo (:
