He married an investor who documents EVERYTHINGโ€ฆ and somehow thought he was going to stay off camera. ๐Ÿ˜‚

He's camera shy.
I'm apparently incapable of letting a good B-roll moment go to waste.

So yes, you may not see him muchโ€ฆ but trust me, he's behind plenty of the stories you see over here.

Marriage is basically teamworkโ€ฆ and occasionally negotiating who makes it into the video. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Your circle can either normalize staying comfortable or normalize going after bigger things.

When your friends are building businesses, investing, taking risks, and constantly learning, the conversations naturally change.

You're not just talking about what happened at work.

You're talking about the idea you want to launch, the deal you're analyzing, the problem you're trying to solve, or the next level you're chasing.

That's the kind of environment that can stretch you without you even realizing it.

Choose people who make ambition feel normal.

Some money mistakes are expensive.

And honestly, I'd rather my kids learn these lessons from me than learn them from a $10,000 mistake later.

Here are a few things I teach my kids to NEVER do with money:

โŒ Spend every dollar you make.
Always give your money a job.

โŒ Go into debt for things you don't need.
Debt can be a tool, but consumer debt can keep you stuck.

โŒ Invest in something you don't understand.
If you can't explain how you make money from it, don't put your money into it.

โŒ Keep all your money sitting in cash forever.
Saving is important, but long-term wealth usually requires investing too.

โŒ Increase your lifestyle every time your income increases.
Make more money without immediately needing more things.

โŒ Let someone else decide what happens to your money.
Learn the basics yourself.

โŒ Be afraid to talk about money.
Money isn't taboo in our house. We talk about it at the dinner table.

The goal isn't to raise kids who are obsessed with money.

It's to raise kids who understand it.

Turning 40 changed the way I define success.

There are things I used to say yes to that I won't anymore.

Working nonstop just to look successful. Missing family moments I can't get back. Saying yes to things that don't align with the life I'm trying to build.

Now I protect my time the same way I protect my investments.

Because money can be earned again.

Time can't.

I'm still building businesses. I'm still investing. But I'm also building a life I'm excited to wake up to.

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and the next level isn't the obstacle.

It's the version of you that keeps saying:

โ€œI can't.โ€
โ€œI'm not ready.โ€
โ€œWhat if I fail?โ€

Every new level requires you to grow into someone capable of handling it.

The money.
The business.
The investment.
The bigger opportunity.

The external challenge may be real, but the internal shift is where everything starts.

My daughter saved $10,000 and then did something most 19-year-olds aren't thinking about.

She invested it into a private lending deal.

She wasn't gambling. She wasn't trying to get rich overnight.

She was learning how to put her savings to work.

This is exactly why I believe financial education should start early.

Saving $10,000 is great.

Knowing how to evaluate an opportunity, understand risk, and potentially earn a return on that money is a completely different skill.

I don't just want my kids to know how to save money.

I want them to know how to make money work for them.

I used to think wealth was about having more.

More money.
More properties.
More investments.

Now I think about it differently.

The real flex is being able to say yes to the people you love.

Yes to a random Tuesday with your family.
Yes to taking the trip.
Yes to slowing down without worrying about what it costs you.

I'm still building. I'm still investing. I'm still chasing bigger goals.

But I'm not building wealth just to watch a number grow.

I'm building it so I can have more time, more choices, and more moments like this.

Because what's the point of financial freedom if you don't actually use the freedom?

One of the most expensive things you can say is:

โ€œI already know that.โ€

The moment you think you have nothing left to learn is usually when your growth starts slowing down.

I've had to be a student at every stage of my life, engineering, real estate, investing, raising capital, business, and even parenting.

Different season. Different lessons.

Stay curious. Ask better questions. Get around people who know things you don't.

You don't have to be the smartest person in the room.

Just be willing to learn from the people who are.

The real debate isn't real estate vs. stocks.

It's whether you're actually building assets consistently.

Different investments can work for different people. The key is understanding what you're investing in, why you're investing, and whether the strategy fits your goals.

You don't need to copy someone else's portfolio.

You need to learn the game well enough to build your own.

There was a time when I thought building wealth meant saying no to everything fun until I โ€œmade it.โ€

Now I see it differently.

Whatโ€™s the point of building assets, creating financial freedom, and working toward generational wealth if youโ€™re never around for the people youโ€™re doing it for?

Some of my favorite moments aren't business meetings or closing deals.

They're walks like this.
Family time.
Conversations.
Being present.

I still have big financial goals.

I just don't want to postpone my life while I'm building them.

Build the wealth. Build the business. Build the life, too.
