Northwest ISD is gearing up for its annual Back-to-School Fair, helping provide essential school supplies to students in need! 🎒✏️🍎

You can make a difference by donating a new backpack. Donations may be dropped off at the Northwest ISD Administration Building, 2001 Texan Drive, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through July 23. (Please note that district offices will be closed on June 18 in observance of the federal holiday.)

Last week, we wrapped up the 25/26 school year by honoring our Volunteers of the Year at the school board meeting! We celebrated volunteers who dedicated anywhere from 20 to over 1,000 hours serving our campuses this year.

Volunteers play such an important role in our schools. From mentoring students and supporting staff to showing up for events and campus needs, the difference they make is immeasurable. Their time, heart, and dedication help create stronger campuses and a better experience for our students each and every day.

To every person who chose to serve this year, THANK YOU! Your impact does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

✨We are proud to spotlight the Dallas Stars and their investment in our students!

This year, the Dallas Stars Hockey Club visited five of our elementary campuses, where 4th and 5th grade students learned the basics of hockey through hands-on activities and engaging instruction. Students received Dallas Stars t-shirts and had the opportunity to experience the excitement of the sport firsthand.

To make an even greater impact, the Dallas Stars donated hockey equipment to each campus, so students can continue learning and playing the game in PE classes for years to come.

Several campuses also participated in the Dallas Stars’ “Stick With Reading” program, helping encourage literacy and a love of reading among students.

Thank you for your generosity, community partnership, and commitment to creating memorable learning experiences for our students!

Shoutout to another Hero of the Hallway - Top Dog, David Biggs! 🐾

David has been a dedicated Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer at Kay Granger Elementary and Tidwell Middle School for over 7 years! He consistently goes above and beyond by building meaningful connections with students and staff, dressing up as the Watch D.O.G.S. mascot, George, making improvements around campus, and serving as a constant, reliable presence our school communities can count on.

Thank you, David, for showing up for our kiddos! We really appreciate the time and heart you’ve invested!

🐺✨ Congratulations to our February Volunteer of the Month, Brianda Jasso! ✨🐺

Seven Hills Elementary mission states, “Together we will accomplish GREATNESS!” and their volunteers are proof of that mission in action.

Principal Kim Blackburn shared that Mrs. Jasso faithfully supports the campus each week and is always willing to jump in wherever help is needed. Her positive attitude, reliability, and servant heart truly embody what it means to be part of the Wolf Pack.
