Samantha Banuelos, a 12th-grader at Patriot High School, is the recipient of the Vivian “Bish” Edwards Theatre Education Scholarship from The California Educational Theatre Association (CETA), which has been awarded to a PHS student for the third consecutive year. Samantha will attend California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, in the fall and pursue a career as an educator at animal sanctuaries or zoos.

“All the staff here, and all the students here have helped me decide my path on where I want to go and who I want to be,” said Samantha. “That’s why I love Jurupa Unified, because they have so many opportunities… This is home.”
