It’s been an honor and a privilege to return to Alexander W. Dreyfoos High School of the Arts yet again as the Vocal Coach on this production on Twelfth Night (Or What You Will).

Can’t wait to meet a new group of Voice students! 💛
This class will give actors the tools they need to create a clear and open connection between themselves and their voices. Using a Kristin Linklater based progression, this class will explore breath, alignment, relaxation, resonance, projection, support and vocal health and safety. By the end of this class, you will have a daily warm up and be able to connect with your breath and tap into your true voice for the most effective vocal communication. ***Please bring a poem of your choice (at least 14 lines) to the first class that you would like to work on throughout the course. This class will be capped at 10 students.

Lindsay Carretero, a Florida native, has a vibrant passion for life and the performing arts. Locally, Mrs. Carretero attended BAK Middle School of the Arts and graduated from Palm Beach County’s Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. High School of the Arts for Theatre. She furthered her love for theatre in college and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Florida State University. While developing her acting career, Lindsay took a special interest in her own speaking voice and the voices of others. Enthusiastically pursuing her education towards voice work, Lindsay obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. With focused training in Linklater Voice, the Alexander Technique, Fitzmaurice Voicework, and Estill, she is experienced in coaching public speaking, breath and support, projection, text, articulation and diction, alignment and anatomy, phonetics, accents and dialects. Lindsay is honored to have worked as a voice teacher and show coach both in the U.S. and in London with some of her favorite shows including Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, and Mary Poppins.
