The highlight critter from my Lembeh trip was this beautiful Mototi octopus. Imagine, knowing there is one in the area of this dive site. You look and look and then when your NDL says 4 minutes left, you finally see it! I got a few quick images before I needed to start heading up and I am thankful for them. Until next year little fella! Hope to see you again under better circumstances!

This proud Poppa has been displaying numerous clutches of eggs this year. Will this be the final batch for the year? Or do we have another one coming soon?

A small filefish playing in the seagrass within a school of baitfish. Taken with a shallow depth of field, the baitfish feel like the sea’s confetti.

Looking for nudibranchs can be quite fun. Lembeh has some of the most colorful I’ve seen in some time, including this beautiful Aegires villosus. Somehow I think it knew I love pink. Although, Florida has some beautiful and very colorful species too.

Enjoying turtle season this year! Now if the weather would cooperate so we can get back out and visit them some more!

It was a rainy day today. I empathize with this very small Stargazer, burrowing myself into my comfy spot until it’s ok to come out again. Turn that frown upside down little fella.
