Hawk’s Nest is a Reggio Emilia–inspired, nature-based learning community for families who want something deeper than traditional schooling — a place where children are trusted, curiosity is honored, and learning unfolds through relationship, play, and real-world exploration.
Our days are shaped by the belief that children are capable, thoughtful collaborators in their own learning. Rather than rushing through subjects, we slow down and follow the questions that naturally arise — building long-form projects, engaging the body and senses, and weaving social-emotional learning into everything we do.

We currently offer two thoughtfully designed learning groups:
🌱 Little Hawks | Ages 3–6�Children build strong foundations through schema-based play, sensory exploration, rhythm, storytelling, movement, and early social-emotional skill building — all rooted in the natural world.
🌲 Soaring Hawks | Ages 7–10�Older children engage in deeper project work, collaboration, leadership, creative problem solving, and reflective learning — honoring their growing independence while staying connected to play and wonder.
Both groups follow a Reggio Emilia–inspired, nature-based curriculum that adapts to the children — not the other way around.

Hawk’s Nest is evolving into something very intentional—a small, nature-based learning studio for children ages 3–6, designed to support deep presence, creativity, and emotional development. Our approach is Reggio-inspired and rooted in the belief that children learn best through relationship: with the land, with each other, and with caring, attuned adults.

Each day, children move between studio inquiry and wild exploration. They engage in thoughtfully prepared provocations, collaborative building, art, storytelling, and open-ended play on the land. The environment itself acts as a teacher—offering real materials, real challenges, and real opportunities for growth.

We follow a Reggio-inspired, nature-based approach that honors each child’s pace while gently guiding them into community, cooperation, and real-life skills.

This is a small, intentional program for families who value presence, depth, and a childhood rooted in the natural world.
