This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

As a veteran-owned and operated company, Academy Leadership is deeply committed to supporting our military, veterans, and the leadership values they exemplify every day.

Courage - Service - Sacrifice - Integrity

We are grateful for those who defended the freedoms we enjoy and for the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

Today, we remember their sacrifice and recommit ourselves to leading with purpose, character, and service to others.

Most teams don’t struggle because of talent.

They struggle because expectations, communication, and leadership styles are unclear.

The result?

Silos. Misalignment. Frustration. Rework.

The Leader’s Compass Workshop helps teams create a shared leadership language that strengthens communication, improves alignment, and builds trust across the organization.

In this interactive workshop, teams:
• Develop a Personal Leadership Philosophy
• Gain deeper self-awareness through the Energize2Lead® Profile
• Clarify values, priorities, and expectations
• Learn how different communication styles impact collaboration
• Break down barriers between departments and functions

This isn’t “team building” for the sake of an activity.

It’s practical leadership development that helps teams work better together immediately.

If your organization is looking to improve communication, alignment, and accountability across the team, the Leader’s Compass Workshop is designed for exactly that.

You don’t become a better leader by accident.

You become one by design.

At Academy Leadership, the Leadership Excellence Course is designed differently.

Over three days, leaders move through a proven framework:

• Know Yourself – Build self-awareness, understand your leadership style, and define your Personal Leadership Philosophy

• Know Your People – Strengthen communication, motivation, and trust to lead high-performing teams

• Know Your Stuff – Execute with focus, accountability, and coaching to drive real results

But the real difference?
It doesn’t stop there.

Every participant is supported with 90 days of follow-on coaching to help them apply what they’ve learned, navigate real challenges, and turn new skills into lasting habits.

Because transformation should not end when the course does.
If you are serious about developing leaders who create real impact, this is the pathway.

When the work is dangerous, leadership can't be an afterthought.

What if the greatest risk in a high-risk industry isn't the environment, but inconsistent leadership?

In our February 2026 leadership article, we share how Delta Constructors, LLC and its President, Dustin Cooper, made a pivotal decision that reshaped their leadership culture from the Alaska North Slope to the Gulf of Mexico.

The outcome?
A stronger pipeline...
A unified culture across regions...
And a voluntary turnover rate under 4%

It started with one leader willing to ask a hard question...

Wishing Both Sides the Best of Luck in the Army–Navy Game

Today, we celebrate one of America’s greatest traditions—the Army–Navy Game, where competition, camaraderie, and character take the field.

As an organization shaped by the leadership values of both the U.S. Army and Navy, we honor the men and women who wear these uniforms and the legacy of service they represent.

To both teams: play hard, lead well, and stand proud.
Good luck, Army. Good luck, Navy.
We thank you for your commitment—on the field and for our nation.

Leadership Article: Consistency in Leadership Matters
by Jason Motes, EdD
What does it take for teams to trust you as a leader?
Two words: consistent leadership.

Jason Motes shares a powerful story from his military command experience, one that started with cheers of “Mission Commander for President!” and ended with a blunt reality check: “We just want some consistency, Sir.”
The lesson?
Even well-intentioned leaders can lose trust when their expectations, communication, or behaviors drift. Jason explores how inconsistency shows up, how quickly it erodes confidence, and what leaders can do to rebuild alignment—especially in demanding or fast-changing environments.

Top takeaway:
A clearly written Personal Leadership Philosophy (PLP) is one of the most effective tools for building the consistency teams depend on.
