The Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Council invites everyone to join us on Sunday, September 27, 2026, as we come together for Orange Shirt Day to honor our indigenous survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and support healing for our families and future generations.

2026 Emerging Leader Applications Are Open!
Are you a Tlingit & Haida Tribal Citizen ready to learn, participate and grow as a future leader?
The Emerging Leader position provides an opportunity for young Tribal Citizens to:
• Gain firsthand experience in Tribal government
• Participate in Executive Council meetings
• Bring your voice and perspective to conversations about our Tribe’s future
• Build knowledge and leadership experience

Eligibility: Tlingit & Haida Tribal Citizens ages 18–26, or under 18 if they have graduated from high school at the time of election.

The Emerging Leader is elected annually by delegates at Tribal Assembly.

Happy Labor Day!

Today we celebrate the hard work and dedication of the people who help our Southeast communities thrive.

THRHA offices will be closed today, September 1, to allow our team members to relax and enjoy the day.

We will reopen tomorrow, September 8 at 8:00 a.m.
