The National Distinguished Principal® Program honors exceptional elementary and middle school principals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, a commitment to student success, and a positive school culture.

AK public school elementary and middle-level principals are nominated by their peers, and final selections are made by our AK state AAESP committee. We invite you to nominate an outstanding principal for this nationally recognized honor!

Last week, the House Education Committee introduced HB 374, which proposes an increase to the Base Student Allocation by $630.

Last year, your voices were critical in encouraging the Legislature to pass a historic funding increase—now, we need to mobilize again.

The Committee is taking telephonic testimony this Wednesday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. Here is how you can participate:

Pro-Tips for Testifying:
