Inspired by Jim Warren of MASST (Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training), we’re celebrating the incredible impact of senior volunteers in our community! Jim highlights that volunteering isn't just about the task at hand—it creates a "ripple effect" that touches lives in unexpected ways. Through MASST, Alaskans aged 55 and older gain valuable skills training and are placed with local nonprofits to provide essential community service. As Jim says, "It's very meaningful work and it does, in fact, ripple in all kinds of ways." Whether it’s mentoring younger generations or becoming the backbone of a local nonprofit, our seniors prove that time is the most precious gift you can give. Interested in making your own waves?
