Discover the wonders of nature with Curious By Nature at our Farm & Forest School in Clam Gulch, Alaska! 🌿 Join us for homeschool enrichment, engaging classes, and tutoring. They are born with a sense of wonder and affinity towards nature and animals. Building on this natural curiosity can help foster a respect for all living things and an appreciation for the world we live in. Children at Curious by Nature Forest School use natural outdoor spaces to expand their learning through art, building, and observations. Daily opportunities to interact with plants, insects, and animals encourage us to respect and care for all living things. Children are active participants in their own learning. That’s why we encourage them to ask questions, explore the world around them, and share what they discover. It’s why we develop our projects based on the interests of the children themselves. Wild Things- August-May, Every Wednesday 10:00-12:00
The Wild Things program is drop-in, weekly outings in local parks for parents with young children ages 4 and under. Forest Ferns- August-May, Tuesday and/or Thursday 10:30 am-2:30 pm. A typical day:
10:00-10:30= Drop off/Free play
10:30-2:30= Outside adventures, Art projects, and picnic-style lunch.
2:30=Parents pick-ups
Children spend 4+ hours outside daily exploring nature! In this nature-focused forest school, children will turn over logs to discover hidden creatures beneath them, spy on songbirds amongst the trees, and imagine the forest through the eyes of a squirrel. Kids will learn about the interconnections of our ecosystem and how we can support its health. Drying flowers, painting seashells, collecting rain, observing animal patterns, and building forts are just a few activities that preschoolers participate in.
