Floods can contaminate well water fast. 💧 The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Disaster Assessment and Recovery unit and the Texas Well Owner Network both have resources on disinfecting, testing and recovering your well after a flood.

Please share this update regarding the New World Screwworm. While some of this information may be redundant, the Kimble County AgriLife Extension Office is committed to providing the most current resources and guidance as they become available:

It’s important to remember: Inspect, Collect, and Protect.
If you suspect a screwworm infestation do not delay reporting. Early detection limits spread and minimizes long-term consequences. If you suspect a case contact the following:
-Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) for livestock and pets: 800-550-8242
-Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) for wildlife: 512-389-4505
-Notify your private veterinarian.
