Ballet is the foundation of dance, especially at JCSD, and this year we have multiple ballet options for different levels. Amy Baker and Lauren Terrien will be teaching Pre-Ballet sections, while Amy Martindale trains up our Ballet I dancers and those in Beginning Technique. Nicole Brown returns for another season, teaching Ballet II, III, IV, Pointe, and Advanced Technique. JCSD’s Hip Hop program continues to grow, and each year we add classes to meet the growing demand. This year you’ll find Amy Baker teaching Pre-Hip Hop. Jenna Clark, a new instructor at JCSD who trained with Haleigh Stewart in southern Oregon, will lead dancers in IA on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Hip Hop IB on Thursdays. Amy with assistance from Kapri Felix will teach IIA on Mondays, while Jenna provides instruction to our IIB dancers on Tuesdays. Level III/IV will be taught by Hayden Heigh on Tuesdays. We are excited to be back in the studio with our energetic and motivated hip hop dancers! Don’t miss Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 4-7 p.m. We’ll have free mini classes of all different styles and an opportunity to meet teachers and apprentices.
