WE LOVE these moments at Elite Martial Arts! When our Extreme Skillz students experience a breakthrough in JKD!

JKD is an art that Mr. Hunt is extremely passionate about, and for good reason. Learning JKD is about so much more than martial arts. It’s about flow, structure, focus, and discipline developing skills that challenge both the body and the mind.

Shoutout to Eva and Aurelio!

Eva did a phenomenal job leading a small group during last night’s Core Skillz class. She demonstrated patience, confidence, and the ability to help her peers stay focused and work through their techniques.

Aurelio also deserves a shoutout for showing that leadership goes both ways! He demonstrated respect for his peer leader while also showing that he has been putting in the work and practicing his techniques.

This is what we love to see in our students—learning from one another, respecting their peers, and putting their hard work into action. 🥋

Why is our 3–4 year old class working on jumping with their feet together?

Because gross motor skills play a huge role in early development! 🥋

Something as simple as jumping with both feet together helps our little ones practice balance, coordination, body control, timing, and spatial awareness. These foundational skills give them a better understanding of how their bodies move and help prepare them for more complex movements as they grow.

Another amazing snapshot from the Business Expo! Our Leadership Team has been hard at work practicing their staff angles.

Staff work is an important part of martial arts because it teaches control, precision, coordination, and awareness. But for our Leadership Team, it also goes beyond the technique. Learning to control the staff, stay focused, and execute each movement with intention mirrors the same qualities we expect from a leader: discipline, patience, responsibility, and control.

Leadership isn't just about being in charge—it's about learning to control yourself first.

From the bottom of our hearts, we are SO proud of our leadership team! ❤️
They showed up and SHOWED OUT! From triangulation and forms to staff angles, they demonstrated not only that they could perform, but that they had put in the work, practiced, and built the confidence to step out in front of a crowd and give it their all.

Watching them step up, trust themselves, and represent our team with such confidence was truly amazing. We couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them! 👏✨
