It was a fun-filled day of 😀’s and enthusiasm on Wednesday at Morris Hill Elementary USD 475 as students and staff from Ware Elementary USD 475, Morris Hill and Seitz Elementary USD 475 showed off their creativity and art ability at summer school.

🚀 It was a SPECIAL day for several summer school students from Sheridan Elementary USD 475, Washington Elementary USD 475 and Westwood Elementary USD 475 as they visited the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson on Wednesday.

👍 During the 2026-27 school year, Kansas school districts will be implementing a new law that bans the use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices during the school day.

This new Kansas law will take effect on July 1, 2026 and will prohibit all Geary County Schools USD 475 students from having or using their cell phones and other personal communication devices during the school day, including during lunch. Read More: https://tinyurl.com/abw52mn5

😀 It was a GREAT day in the district as several individuals attended our 2026 Geary County Schools USD 475 Career Fair on Tuesday at Morris Hill Elementary USD 475.

We are still looking for some amazing individuals to join our wonderful family, so be sure to join USD 475 on Tuesday, July 21 for the district’s second career fair at Seitz Elementary USD 475.

Don’t forget to bring your resume as USD 475 will be conducting on-the-spot interviews at the career fair for all positions. Walk-ins are welcomed.

From hands-on learning to exciting field trips across Kansas, students have explored incredible destinations like the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, the Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan and many more.

👏 The Geary County Schools USD 475 communications department received three national awards on Wednesday from the National School Public Relations Association, including two "Awards of Excellence" and one “Award of Merit” honors for its efforts in telling the stories and accomplishments of USD 475’s students and staff during the 2025-26 school year.
