We’re kicking off our Read Across America week and celebrating all things books - silly voices, favorite characters, and the joy of getting lost in a good story. Reading builds big brains and even bigger imaginations!

Preparing Graduates of Tomorrow...

USD 475 is a world class family of 19 unique schools, including a recently expanded Early Childhood program, 14 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, an alternative school, and the Junction City High School. Geary County Schools serves the communities of Junction City, Fort Riley, Milford, and Grandview Plaza. With new construction, academic leadership, and a close military connection, students are offered a rich, culturally diverse education.

This diverse community is in part attributed to Fort Riley, the driving economic force in the area. With a military student population of over 60%, staff realize that education can be challenging for students with enlisted or deployed parents and embrace the military lifestyle to support these complex needs.

With opportunities like Boys and Girls club, infant toddler services, before and after school activities, and a home-based Early Childhood Education program, Geary County Schools strives to serve the educational needs of the surrounding community.
