The Spirit of Joshua's performance at the UIL Region Marching Contest was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing precision, energy and artistry! The judges were impressed and awarded them straight 1s.

The exceptional achievement has earned the band the opportunity to compete at the Area F Marching Contest on October 24 in Birdville.

The 14th Annual Joshua ISD Education Foundation Golf Tournament was an unforgettable event brimming with excitement and a few birdies along the way! A huge thank you to everyone who participated and showed outstanding support for our students and staff. The Joshua ISD Police Department is partnering with the City of Joshua Police Department on Saturday, October 24, for DEA National Take Back Day!

This event, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Joshua Brookshire's, gives our community a safe and responsible way to dispose of unused or unwanted medications.

This past weekend, Joshua High School Robotics hosted the region's first VEX: Override competition, and one JHS team was crowned tournament champions!

Team 76058B, The Mcfeins, earned the BUILD Award and third in the skills portion of the competition on their way to earning the top award at the event. Following the success, the team is currently ranked 4th in Texas and 221st in the world.

Team 76058E, The Order of the Bots, won the Sportsmanship Award and made the quarterfinals. 76058Z, Team 76058Z, The 999'ers, a team made up entirely of freshmen in their first VEX contest, reached the quarterfinals and secured 9th place in the skills portion of the competition. They are now ranked 11th in Texas. Team 76058D, The Pink Fluffy Unicorns, ranked 21st in skills and made it to the round of 16.

Eighth-graders in Ms. Berg's R.C. Loflin Middle School history class experienced some of the American Revolution firsthand this week!

The students got a taste of the times, by trying hardtack, the dense, hard bread provided to soldiers. Next, they tried their hand at writing with a quill. Engaging with history in such an interactive way truly brings the lessons to life.
