There will be NJROTC cadets in uniform to direct our heroes to the parking lot and to es**rt them to the holding area prior to the event. Hope to see many of our heroes in attendance.

This Friday at the Owl Football game against Eagle Mountain, Joshua ISD will honor Active, Reserve, Retired and Military Veterans and First Responders with an on-field recognition before the game at 6:30 p.m!

Honorees may park in the reserved parking lot near the south gate. Please check in at the designated table at that entrance. Each honoree will receive two general admission tickets to the game. Single-game tickets for all other attendees are available at https://bit.ly/jhstickets.

Dear Honored Military Member or First Responder,
Joshua ISD would like to invite you to our Military (Active and Retired) & First Responders
Recognition Night on Friday, September 11, 2026, during the Joshua Owls vs. Eagle
Mountain HS varsity football game. This special evening is dedicated to honoring the bravery,
sacrifice, and service of those who protect and serve our community and nation.
We are deeply grateful for your commitment, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate and
recognize you than by coming together under the Friday night lights.

On-Field Recognition Ceremony: Begins at 6:30 p.m.
Arrival and Check-In:
Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in. Marked service vehicles are
invited to park along the perimeter of the stadium on the north and south sides.
All participating military members and first responders should check in at the South End Zone
Gate upon arrival for entry and further instructions. There will be reserved parking for non
service vehicles near the South Gate entrance.
Each honoree will receive two (2) general admission tickets for guests in addition to their own
access to the game. You will not need a personal ticket, but check-in is required for entry for you
and your two guests along with participation in the on-field ceremony.
Following the recognition and National Anthem, participants are invited to enjoy the game from
the general admission seating areas.
We encourage all military personnel and first responders—active, reserve, and retired—from
throughout our community and surrounding areas to join us. Your service embodies the
strength, unity, and pride that make Joshua ISD and our community so special.

Today we received the Gilliam award for last year's graduate Ethan Henry. Ethan was made aware of this award before he graduated last May and now he's attending Texas A&M in College Station on an ROTC scholarship. We're thankful for the great kids we get and thankful to be able to recognize them for their efforts and accomplishments.

Another special day yesterday, a first again. We had two former cadets in the Navy basic training graduation. The young Sailor, McMillian, in the picture with his Dad just finished his training and is now on his way to learn his trade. The young lady on the base drum is Schuman and she will be performing in all graduation ceremonies leading up to her own graduation.
These young people make us proud.
