Please note: there is a time change for tonight's Graduation Commencement Ceremony. THIS EVENT WILL NOW TAKE PLACE AT 7:00PM OUTDOORS AT AMES FIELD.

With the forecasted rain, it looks more favorable a little earlier in the evening. This change in timing looks to give us the best chance to hold the ceremony at Ames Field and keep the crowd and extensive sound equipment dry.

Important Time Updates:
-Graduating Seniors should arrive at the High School at 6:00pm.
-Gates to Ames Field will now open at 6:00pm.
-As planned, this event will Livestream on the Jordan Public Schools YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO-I2i08WU_TVII4io5wQ2Q
-We will also have indoor seating available in the JHS Auditorium with the livestream for anyone that wants to attend in person, but have a dry seat!

Please help us spread the word for this change in tonight's events! We ask for your flexibility, preparedness (please be prepared for everything - we recommend bringing a towel) and most of all, your positive thoughts for our Seniors on this special day!

It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to another amazing year of music, but the Jordan High School choirs sure went out in style during their final concert of the school year!

The JHS Pops Concert,"Songs in Color," was entirely student-driven—from the setlist to the choreography. Watching them perform classics like Somewhere Over the Rainbow to anthems like Purple Rain with so much passion was the perfect finale!

Last week students from the Jordan High School Healthcare and Medicine course held their spring Teddy Bear Clinic for Jordan Elementary School Kindergarten students. Students were able to learn about and participate in general methods of healthcare including taking temperatures, heart rates, blood pressures, checking oxygen levels, and caring for pretend wounds on their teddy bears! This is always such a great learning experience for both the high school and elementary school students!

Jordan High School is excited to honor the Class of 2026 with a graduation commencement ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 8:00pm. This formal ceremony recognizes the hard work of our students over the past thirteen years! Weather permitting this event will take place outdoors at Ames Field, with gates opening at 6:30pm! This event will also be live streamed to the Jordan Public Schools YouTube page.

Should the ceremony need to be moved indoors due to unfavorable weather, this will be posted to our website and social media by 11:00am on Friday, May 22, 2026!

Jordan High School Band and Choir students had the opportunity to visit New York City during spring break! This experience included performances by our band and choir students, attending a Broadway show, and seeing many landmark sights! Just a few moments from this trip are highlighted in these photos!

We have been closely monitoring the hazardous road conditions around our district and the continued snow and ice conditions forecasted by the National Weather Service. Due to these conditions, a decision has been made to close school on Monday, March 16, 2026. We wanted to communicate this as early as possible to ensure families have time to plan. This will be a flexible learning day for students, more details are listed below:

Jordan High School & Jordan Middle School
Students will be able to view lessons and/or assignments on Google Classroom beginning at 10:00am. Teachers will be available via email to answer student questions from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Students attending classes at Southwest Metro will also have an e-learning day. The JMS Band Concert will be rescheduled for a later date.

Jordan Elementary School
Students in grades K-4 should complete the learning board activities provided by their teacher. These boards are also available on the Jordan Elementary School website under each grade level should you need to access them again.

Preschool, ECFE and Kids’ Company will also be closed.

Jordan Public Schools district affiliated middle school and high school after school activities will also be canceled.

All Community Ed and Rec youth after-school and evening activities are canceled. The CERC will remain open for regular hours. Any changes will be communicated appropriately.

District Advisory is cancelled and topics will be shifted to a future meeting date. The Community Education and Recreation advisory committee will be rescheduled. The School Board Meeting will remain as scheduled.
