UPDATE for today, January 6, there is no school due to icy road conditions!

We have been closely monitoring the current icy road conditions on rural routes around our district. In consultation with area districts and our transportation partners at Benjamin Bus, a decision has been made to close school today, Tuesday, January 6, 2026. This will allow more time for rural road conditions to improve and allow time for planning alternate pick-up locations for rural routes in the event of future icy conditions on those roads. This is the first weather closure of the year and is built into the calendar as a traditional weather closure for all students. With that, this will NOT be a flexible learning day and students do not need to check into Google Classroom or with their teachers.

Preschool, ECFE and Kids’ Company will also be closed. All Jordan Public Schools district and Community Ed and Rec after-school activities and athletics will remain as scheduled. The CERC will remain open for regular hours.

For more information regarding our weather closure policies, please visit our website at https://www.isd717.org/about-us/weather-guidelines.
