Attention families of incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students! Harford County Public Schools has a gradual entry schedule to help your child ease into the new school year.

Pre-K gradual entry dates are Tuesday, September 8 or Wednesday, September 9, with the first full day of school on Thursday, September 10.

Kindergarten gradual entry dates are Tuesday, September 1 or Wednesday, September 2, with the first full day of school on Thursday, September 3.

Your child's elementary school will communicate the specific date. Please note that no transportation is provided on gradual entry dates.

In addition to encouraging all our students to begin the year with a passion for reading, the PTA raises over half of the budget with Read-a-Thon alone! It is our major fundraiser of the year. Our students deserve the best experience, we are starting our planning meetings for Read-a-Thon now. If you would like to help us plan, please email [email protected] and we will follow up soon. Volunteer with the Harford County Celtic Festival Our very own crossing guard, Mr. Jim Cosgrove, asked Riverside to help as volunteers with the Harford County Celtic Festival on August 28-29th at Friendship Park in Abingdon.
