Engine 811, Truck 8, and Chief 8 are operating at a reported mercury spill at the Quality Inn, 2112 Emmorton Park Road in Edgewood. The Harford County Department of Emergency Services Hazardous Materials Team has been requested.

and Abingdon Fire Company - MD operated on a truck fire late last night. On I-95 Northbound near Exit 77.
The highway was shut down. No injuries reported.
This was the second truck fire companies operated on over the past two nights.

Quint 8 is operating at a building fire at Wendy’s, 1950 Pulaski Highway, in Edgewood. There is an active fire in the kitchen. Expect traffic delays on 40 near Paul Martin due to fire trucks on the scene. Harford County Health Department has been requested. This is standard for any fire in an eating establishment.

The US National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington has issued a Tornado Watch for Harford County today 8/20/26 until 10 PM.

Stay weather aware. If a Tornado Warning does happen, go to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows, doors, and outside walls to reduce the risk of injury from glass and debris.

Prior to 8am and Harford County Department of Emergency Services paramedics responded for a Motor Vehicle Collision on Route 24 just south of Trimble Rd in .
Firefighters had to utilize the HURST Jaws of Life to free a seriously injured adult passenger from the car.
The patient was flown to Shock Trauma, UM Medical Center.

Route 24 remains shut down in both directions between Trimble Rd and the APG entrance gate.
