What a busy and AMAZING day we had at Baylee’s Music Academy! We started with an incredible masterclass focused on stage etiquette, covering different scenarios and genres and helping our students learn how to confidently carry themselves as performers.

Then, we jumped straight into an intense rehearsal with our BMA Showcase girls as they continue preparing to shine on stage!

To top off the day, we had our Back-to-School Lock-In with our showcase girls and it was SO much fun! The girls made charm bracelets, added hair tinsel, received fun awards, and made so many wonderful memories together.

Days like these are what Baylee’s Music Academy is all about—learning, growing, performing, and having fun while building confidence and friendships along the way! We are so proud of every single one of our students. 💕🎶

🎹 PIANO LESSON OPENINGS! 🎹

Baylee’s Music Academy is excited to welcome new piano students with Head Piano Instructor Jarrett Little!

With a Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Missouri Southern State University and years of experience accompanying and teaching students, Jarrett brings a well-rounded performance and educational background to every lesson.

He spent 4 years working with Carthage choirs, served as a musical director for Joplin Little Theatre, and has continued teaching and performing throughout his career.

Jarrett is currently pursuing his Master’s in Conducting with a choral emphasis at Pittsburg State University, where he also serves as a Graduate Assistant for the Orchestra and Theory programs.

Most importantly, Jarrett believes in creating a space where young musicians can express themselves, build confidence, find belonging, and make beautiful music.

Please welcome our new Head Piano instructor Mr. Jarrett!🩷

Miss Baylee has had the pleasure to perform and work alongside Mr. Jarrett!

Jarrett Little is a dedicated musician with a background in piano and voice performance & teaching. He graduated from MSSU in May of 2022 with his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance. From there, he went on to accompany Carthage junior high choirs for 2 years until moving up to the high school program for 2 more years. His time outside of work was spent mainly on musical direction for Joplin Little Theatre and teaching lessons.
He now attends Pittsburg State University as a full-time graduate student, studying for his Masters in Conducting with a choral emphasis. He is also the appointed Graduate Assistant for the orchestra and theory programs. His aspiration has always been and will continue to be to inspire and encourage younger generations to make beautiful music for the sake of art and humanity, believing now more than ever that young people need and deserve an outlet for expression and belonging🩷

Auditions are tonight! Our very own acting instructor is directing this! They are in need of young adults! Come out tonight to JLT🩷

"You ain't seen nothin' yet! It's gonna be a night we'll never forget!" Directed by Preston Hamilton and based on Stephen King's debut horror novel, CARRIE the musical will be the second show of our 2026-2027 Season playing October 22-25.

Stay tuned to our socials for the hints for our third production. Congratulations to Chandler Abrielle for correctly guessing Carrie the musical first!

Auditions for CARRIE the musical will take place August 17 and 18. Details will be shared here at a later date.

We’re looking for instructors who:
• Have a music degree preferred
• Are knowledgeable in performance & music theory
• Can pass a background check
• Enjoy working with children
• Have a positive, patient, and encouraging personality
• Are available for approximately 3–20 hours per week
• Can commit to one weekend day per month for events, recitals, masterclasses, etc.

💰 $25–$30/hour

Our FIRST Mommy & Me class was SO much fun! 🩷

We learned all about animals and got to mimic their sounds using our instruments! We sang, we played, we danced, and we left with new musical skills, new experiences, and lots of happy memories with our grown-ups. 🎶

These little ones are building rhythm, coordination, listening skills, confidence, and a love for music—all while having FUN!

We can’t wait to do it all again!

At Baylee’s, we believe music education should be about more than just lessons. It’s about confidence, creativity, friendships, memories, and giving students a place to truly express themselves.
