Mrs Whitaker, Franklin Technology Center’s Building Teacher of the Year, was recently recognized at the Southwest Center Awards Banquet.

Mrs. Whitaker has worked tirelessly to grow her program and expand meaningful, high-quality work-based learning opportunities for students across Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary levels. Her dedication ensures students are not only learning the content, but truly experiencing what it means to be an educator.

One student shared, “Mrs. Whitaker believed in me when all the odds were against me.” That statement speaks volumes about the impact she has, not just academically, but personally.

Thank you, Mrs. Whitaker, for your hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to your students, your program, our school, and our community. You are an incredible mentor and role model for our future educators.

Celebrating Our FTC Seniors! 🎓

What an incredible night last week at the Franklin Technology Center Senior Awards Ceremony as we honored the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our students.

This year, our seniors have accomplished so much:

💰 Over $42,000 in scholarships earned
📜 72 CTE Certificates awarded
🎓 213 students completed one of our 17 CTE programs
🏆 Over 300 industry-recognized credentials achieved

These numbers tell a powerful story, but what matters most is what they represent. Our students are leaving FTC with real skills, real experience, and real opportunities for their future.

We are so proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see the impact they will make in our community and beyond.

It was a big week at Franklin Technology Center, and we’ve got a lot to celebrate!

Last week we recognized our students at the NTHS Induction Ceremony, celebrated our seniors at the FTC Awards Ceremony, cheered on our DECA students competing at Internationals, honored Mrs. Whitaker at the Southwest Center Awards Banquet, and wrapped it all up with our FTC Senior Picnic.
