The annual MSSU Artful Medicine Symposium will be held Friday, November 15, in the Connor Ballroom from 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The symposium explores the relationship of art and humanities with medicine, investigating how the active experience of the arts improves health care delivery and patient outcomes.

Thank You Freeman Health System! 🤝🏽👨‍⚕️

Freeman Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Paula Baker announced a $1 million gift to support Missouri Southern State University’s new Roy Blunt Health Science Innovation Center during a ceremony Monday morning. In recognition, the university is naming two spaces inside the center in Freeman’s honor – The Freeman Skills Lab and the Freeman Simulation Classroom. Both will provide MSSU medical and nursing students with immersive learning opportunities inside a state-of-the-art environment. Now under construction, the new center will open in 2026.
