MSSU's Chapter of SME is dedicated to helping students advance in the worlds of industrial and manufacturing engineering technology.

We are a local chapter (U178) of the national Society of Manufacturing Engineers. By connecting students with area businesses through tours, seminars and internships, we hope to strengthen not only the education of the student, but the prosperity of the community as a whole. Our senior chapter is Ozark Chapter 139
