Mr. LaTurner was celebrated all over the building last week during National Assistant Principals Week! One of the celebrations was brought by Ms. Brant's kindergarten class, who showered him with coloring pages, a card, a special book, and an enthusiastic group hug. ☺️

We are thankful for Mr. LaTurner every day!

Congratulations to our 2026 Academic All Stars! These students worked hard to earn Advanced, Proficient, and Growth scores on last year's MAP tests, and we are so proud of them. Thank you to our teachers and families for supporting your students to strive for academic success.

These students will be celebrated during our upcoming Academic All Stars ceremony, and should have already received their official invite. If you don't see your student on this list for earning Advanced, Proficient, or Growth scores on last year's MAP and you believe that to be in error, please contact the office by Friday, April 10.

We are thankful for our friends at Arvest Bank!

We are so grateful for the ways our community shows up to support Joplin classrooms! Please help us send a big THANK YOU to our friends at Arvest Bank for their donation today to Ms. Moana’s class at Soaring Heights Elementary. Happy Last Day of School! 🎉 Today is a half day: elementary buildings will dismiss at 11:45am, secondary schools will dismiss at 12:30pm.

We've had an amazing year of growth together and it doesn't have to stop here! There's still time to sign up for summer school from May 29 - June 27. ☀️

Summer classes are available for all area students from PreK through 12th grades for a chance to boost academic skills for the coming school year and have a ton of fun along the way. Breakfast & lunch is free, bus service is available, field trips are offered for our K-8 students, and there will be lots of hands-on learning and career exploration options for all.

For a full list of Summer School sites, hours, enrollment links, Kindergarten Jumpstart details and more, please visit www.JoplinSchools.org/Summer to get started.

Have a fantastic summer, Eagles! 🦅
