🍿📚 THE SECRET IS OUT! 📚🍿

Our students got the big reveal at today’s assembly, and we’re so excited to officially announce this year’s theme for The Great NHCA Read & Raise!

✨ POP Open a Good Book! ✨

Throughout the month of September, our Preschool–6th grade students will be challenged to READ, RAISE and have a whole lot of fun along the way! And yes… we have some pretty fun prizes waiting for them. 👀🍿

🙏 As we continue in our 20 Days of Prayer for NHCA, we wanted to pause today and remind our families that we are still praying together! 💚

Today on our prayer calendar, we’re specifically lifting up our coaches + athletic staff, and we’d love for our NHCA families to join us in covering our entire athletics community in prayer. 🏀🏐🏃‍♀️

We’re praying for wisdom and encouragement for our coaches and athletic staff as they lead, for strength and protection over our student-athletes, and that every practice, game, win and loss would be an opportunity to grow in character and glorify God.

May our teams represent NHCA well—not only in how they compete, but in how they encourage one another, show sportsmanship and reflect Christ both on and off the court and field. 🤍

Cougar families, will you take a moment to pray for NHCA Athletics with us today? 🙏

📚 Something BIG is coming… 👀

Our annual PTF Read & Raise [formerly known as the Read-A-Thon] is almost here! Preschool through 6th grade students will be joining in the fun, and we’ve been busy behind the scenes building a new website as well as planning a fun new theme, exciting prizes, a little friendly competition and LOTS of reading! 🎉📖

Students will get the full scoop at our Read & Raise Kickoff Assembly this Friday — but for now, we’ll just say… you won’t want to miss what we have planned! 🤩

Parents, be on the lookout for all the details coming home this Friday! 😉

What a sweet morning with our Kindergarten families! 🤍

This morning, our PTF had the privilege of hosting our annual Kindergarten Blessing Breakfast — a time to gather as a community, encourage one another, and prepare our hearts and homes for the responsibility of raising the children God has entrusted to us. ✨

We’re so thankful for the opportunity to slow down, connect with other families, and be reminded that we don’t have to walk this parenting journey alone. What a gift it is to raise our kids surrounded by a community that will love them, pray for them, encourage them, and point them toward Jesus. 💚

A special thank you to Sammie Bruggeman for spending her morning with us and sharing such meaningful encouragement for each of us as we walk through our own parenting journeys. We’re so grateful for the wisdom and heart she shared with our families!

And, of course, a big thank you to Jessica with Risen Coffee for providing the delicious coffee for our morning! ☕️ It was such a fun and generous addition to our breakfast and made an already special morning even sweeter.

Kindergarten families — this Friday is for YOU! 💚 Join us for our annual Kindergarten Blessing Breakfast this Friday, August 21 at 8am! ⏰

After dropping your kindergartener off for their school day, head over to the north Atrium doors and join us for a sweet morning of fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and breakfast as we celebrate and bless our Kindergarten families as they begin this new season. 🫶

This special morning is for parents (younger siblings are welcome to tag along if needed!), while your kindergartener stays in class and enjoys their normal school morning. 🍎🚌

And because every good morning starts with coffee… ☕️✨ Jessica from Risen Coffee will be joining us with a special complimentary coffee bar just for you!

As we settle into this first full week, we want to encourage our Cougar families to keep praying with us! There’s something so special about knowing families across our school are lifting up the same prayers for our students, teachers, staff and school community each day. 🙏

What a sweet way to begin a new school year. 🙏

We are so thankful for each parent, grandparent, church staff remember, teacher, and friend who gathered with us this morning to cover our students, teachers, staff, and school year in prayer. What a gift it is to be part of a school community that believes in the power of prayer!
