Happy School Principals Day to this fantastic group of leaders in our schools! They carry quite a load, and they do it with intention, efficiency, and patience. Here's a glimpse into a day in the life of a school principal:

🔘 De-escalates a kindergartner meltdown while mentally building a staff professional development schedule.
🔘 Helps a middle-schooler navigate a friendship breakup like it's a high-stakes peace negotiation.
🔘 Covers a class for 12 minutes so a teacher can handle an urgent situation and turns it into a surprisingly solid mini-lesson.
🔘 Has a hallway conversation that redirects a student’s entire day, without anyone else noticing.
🔘 Shares a quick, positive story about a student with their family, just because they should hear it.
🔘 Figures out how to support a teacher who is doing everything right and still having a tough day.
🔘 Listens to a high schooler explain why being five minutes late is actually a complex chain of unfortunate events involving traffic, a sibling, and existential dread.
🔘 Takes a phone call from a parent and turns a worry into a clear, reassuring plan.
🔘 Makes about 47 micro-decisions in 10 minutes, none of which were on the calendar.

The Eagle Bond has passed with 75.5% voter approval! Thank you for showing up with tons of Eagle Pride today for this investment in the future of our schools. Your votes mean that our 7 oldest elementary schools can be equipped with safer, updated spaces suitable for modern education, and that our district athletics and activities will have a safe indoor facility all year 'round - during extreme heat, persistent rains, and everything in between.

We can’t wait to share more details and updates as the work gets underway, but for now: THANK YOU, EAGLE NATION! 🦅

Congratulations to our 2026 Academic All Stars! These students worked hard to earn Advanced, Proficient, and Growth scores on last year's MAP tests, and we are so proud of them. Thank you to our teachers and families for supporting your students to strive for academic success.
