The Lion Cub Academy at MSSU is mourning the loss of our beloved former teacher assistant, Annie Strickling. Annie had a personality that lit up a room! The children adored her, as did our staff. She believed in making connections with the children and demonstrated it daily. No matter how difficult a child could be, Annie would have a smile on her face, kindness in her heart, and a genuine desire to help them learn how to handle their feelings and upsets. She made everyone around her want to be better. What an example her life has been for so many! May we all strive to continue her legacy of connection and understanding of children. May we all be a little more like Annie.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone mourning her loss. May Annie’s family and friends find comfort in the many stories and memories that have been shared about her, and may her legacy be carried on with children everywhere. We will forever love and miss you, Annie!
