Congratulations to all of our students who were awarded at yesterday's Comm Awards! There are too many to list in a Facebook post, but every one of them represent the best of what the Department of Communication has to offer!

And a special shoutout to our department Advisor of the Year, Ward Bryant, and our Teacher of the Year, Brian Mehrens!

Comm Lions! I know you all are waiting with great anticipation for your favorite thing ever next week (final exams), but don't forget to stop in and visit with your faculty advisor! There's plenty of time to get enrolled in summer classes, or even get squared away for the fall.

Nobody was injured following a rollover accident at the intersection of Newman and Duquesne. Area first responders were quick to respond, and as of this posting, the blockage to the intersection has been cleared and traffic is moving normally.

Good morning, Comm Lions! It's April 20, which means that enrollment for Fall 2026 is now open to all students! If you haven't done so already, set up a time to meet with your advisor and get enrolled in the classes you want AND need, before they fill up!

Good morning Comm Lions! Today, some of the best and brightest of the Four States’ media creators are swarming Webster Hall for the annual Missour Southern Media Showcase! With hundreds of area high schoolers attending, today will be jam packed with media awards, guest speakers, and more!

Our first speaker is coming up at 10:30 in Webster 111, where local meteorologist and influencer Doug Heady will speak to high school and MSSU students alike. It’s open to all MSSU students, so come on down and say hello!

Welcome back, Comm Lions! While we are all trying to get back into the "doing work and not vegetating on our couch" phase of the semester, remember that Fall Enrollment opens TODAY for seniors and other priority enrollment students!

Schedule a meeting with your advisors to get in the classes you need ASAP! General open enrollment opens April 20.

Comm Lions! We're all chomping at the bit to get out for Spring Break next week. Before you go, however, swing by Billingsley on Wednesday, March 11, for the MSSU Spring Career Fair.

More than 100 businesses from around the Four States area and beyond will be in attendance, looking for students like you to fill job vacancies and internship slots in the coming months.
