Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri

Today, some of our Club kids had the incredible opportunity to tour EaglePicher and get a behind the scenes look at what happens there every day. They learned about the many different career paths available, saw how batteries are made for projects like Artemis, and discovered just how many opportunities exist right here in our community.

We are so grateful to the Eagle Picher team for opening their doors and taking the time to invest in our kids. Experiences like these help spark curiosity, build confidence, and show our young people what's possible for their future. Thank you for an amazing day!

Thank you, Rotary Club of Joplin for your support. Community is crucial to the success of our organization, and today we celebrated with supporters, advocates, and other nonprofits in our community. It takes a village, and ours is pretty awesome! 💙

Each year, the Jopin Rotary Club's Community Fund supports local non-profit organizations. Today, we awarded $21,850 to the Area Agency on Aging Region X, Economic Security Corporation 's CARS Program, International, Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri, Schroeder Family Exploreum, Aspire Scholarship of Southwest Missouri, and the Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri. Thank you to these hard-working organizations. Proceeds from our weekly raffle and last month's Golf Scramble made this possible.

We love seeing our community partners invest in our kids in meaningful ways.

Today, our teens had the opportunity to learn about financial literacy from Pinnacle Bank as part of our Workforce Readiness program. The session was led by one of our own Board Members and covered topics like checking accounts, banking basics, budgeting, and smart money habits.

These real world skills are so important as our teens begin preparing for life after high school. Thank you to Pinnacle and to our Board Member for sharing their time, knowledge, and experience with our Club teens. Opportunities like this help prepare our kids for bright futures. 💙

Today we're celebrating someone who has made a tremendous impact on the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri. As a current Board Member and former Board President, Isaac has been a dedicated champion for our Club and the kids we serve.

No matter the need, Isaac is always willing to lend his support, share his leadership, and help move our mission forward. His commitment to creating great futures for local youth is something we're incredibly grateful for.

Yesterday we had the honor of being a part of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce YPN Scavenger Hunt. At our stop, area chamber members had to color and write a card of encouragement to one of our Club kids.

Today, we got to hand out some those cards. This is why community matters. Our clubs need to know they are supported.
