Tomorrow we honor our Veterans by taking on the Hero WOD “Chad”. Chad is 1000 box steps. It is just as much of a mental challenge as it is physical. Partner with friends or take it on solo. As you work your way thru take a moment to remember those who traded their lives so we can live in the greatest country in the world.
We honor and always remember you. Happy Birthday, we are still celebrating you here.

On Thursdays, we let our CNS recover from heavy pulling, pushing, pressing and hinging.
Active Recovery means we move, sweat and elevate heart rate at a non-competitive rate.
Movements should be smooth and complete.
Load should be lighter for efficiency.
Take some time and work on mobility afterwards while you are warm pliable.
Let’s be fresh for Friday and Saturday!

What does it mean to be driven to get better? What do I sacrifice from my schedule to make sure I’m doing what I can to prioritize training while being a mom, dad, co-worker, entrepreneur, wife, husband, student...you get it, we all have crazy lifestyles.
Meet my friend Bridget. Mother of 3. Wife to a medical resident. Lives in Wichita, KS, coaches classes in her gym, created a business on the side. Gave birth during the global shutdown less than 24 hours removed from performing a workout with over 100 DU’s.
Training to improve her health and fitness everyday matters to her.
Temporarily frustrated with her progress and a looming Monster Games competition coming, she jumped in her van and drove 3 hours, with all 3 kids in tow, to come spend time training with me so she can take back to her gym some new motivation and a sense of where she needs to focus her training. We sat and talked afterwards and by 2pm she was back in her van driving 3 hours to make sure her son was at swim practice.
That is sacrifice in routine. That is understanding we can’t do this alone. That is saying, I want to be the best version of myself, body, mind and spirit.
Find a coach you can trust and lean in. Be willing to do anything at anytime to take YOUR next step forward.
