I took a little time off to travel with family, but fall is nearly here, and we’re back at it!

I’ll be hosting another Maker Moms hangout at Lazy Lady Baking Co. on Saturday, August 15th at 10am

This is a chance for creative moms to get together and enjoy good coffee and good company, while supporting local businesses! You’re welcome to bring your kids, or just something you’re making. It’s a casual hangout, so no pressure to be punctual or presentable. I do not benefit monetarily from these meetups in any way, this is one of the ways that I fill my cup as a creative and a mom, and I love making new artsy mom friends! I like to bring my latest fiber art WIP so I can maybe crank out a few stitches or rows while we chat 🧶

Here’s what we’re making:
• Nature Prints and Texture Studies
• LEGO Prints
• Silk Screen Bandanas
• Turmeric Anthotypes
• Cyanotypes

Students will learn about pattern, texture, and repetition in both nature and industry. We’ll explore a variety of printmaking processes, and students will end each day with a finished piece of art. MIDNIGHT TONIGHT is the deadline, so don’t miss out!

NEXT WEEK is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Camp ♻️🌿🌷

We’re making plantable seed paper from recycled biodegradable packaging, collages from recycled print media, woven baskets from recycled plastic grocery bags, and charms from recycled milk jug lids!

I’ve extended the registration deadline to Saturday night at midnight, so grab your kid a spot before they’re gone!
