Because Halloween is on a Saturday this year, and we fully support making questionable decisions involving sugar the day before. 💀🍪

Join Side Hustle Custom Bakery at Blues Brews Co. for an afternoon of spooky sweets, royal icing, and discovering that decorating cookies is a lot easier when someone else has already baked them.

🎃 All royal icing and decorating supplies

👻 Step-by-step instruction with yours truly

🐈‍⬛ One 16 oz. nonalcoholic beverage

No experience required. No artistic talent necessary. Absolutely no judgment if your ghost looks like it’s been through something. We’ve all been there.

What began as a local effort has grown into a nonprofit dedicated to bringing quality eye care to people who might otherwise go without it. Through local outreach and international medical missions, they provide eye exams, vision care, and sight-saving surgeries to individuals who cannot afford the care they need. Their work is about more than treating eyes. It’s about restoring independence, opening doors, and giving people the ability to see the people and world they love. Their goal is to share the light of Christ through life saving vision care.

Nothing better than going to deliver to your mom and a black bear crosses your path on the way! 🐻 NO, I didn’t stop and take a picture, I was going 55 down US19-E S and it popped out on the right and sauntered across the road and into the woods on the left. I slowed because I was in awe and looked back as I was passing by… tell me why it looked back at me too!? 🥹

With all of the hard but very cool things I’m doing this week, on top of the passing of our dearest Dolly Parton -I’m taking it as a sign! An Appalachian glimmer, if you will ✨
Visiting with mom was the icing on the cake!
I haven’t seen her in a while and boy we had a time in the Elizabethton Food City parking lot 😂 15 minutes heehaw laughing and catching up with her did me a world of good. Y’all go hug on the folks you love and keep your eyes open for the little bits of mountain magic 🦋🐻✨ that Dolly helped share with all of us. (This is my mom’s favorite Dolly tune)
