We are coming to the end of ticket sales for the prom. The Prom will be held at Pristine Chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2026 starting at 7:00 pm. As previously stated, all staff and faculty must purchase a ticket in order to be admitted this year. No Exceptions. We understand that this is different from the past but it is also necessary. The discounted cost of $35/ person covers the food that will be served. Please click the Prom Ticket link to purchase your ticket(s). The Science Department would love to see every staff and faculty member at the Prom to support our juniors and especially our seniors as they mingle and dance the night away. The final date to purchase a Prom ticket is March 31, 2026. We must have a final total count prior to leaving for Spring Break so this will be the hard deadline. Please secure your ticket(s) so you won't miss out on this spectacular experience.

MZ band participated in our annual Large Group Performance Evaluation, and the results are in! The Bulldog Band is a superior-rated band in the state of Georgia!!!!! These students have worked very hard since the 1st day of school; some of them didn't even know how to properly put their instruments together in August :-) I am so proud of my students. They have earned a straight superior rating from all four judges! I have attached the rating sheets below.

The Bulldog Band scored the following:

Judge 1: Superior (1)
Judge 2: Superior (1)
Judge 3: Superior (1)
Sight Reading Judge: Superior (1)

The following ratings are awarded by each of three adjudicators in GMEA performance evaluations
Superior (1): Outstanding performance. Worthy of distinction of being recognized as among the very best.
Excellent (2): Unusually good performance in many respects, but not worthy of the highest rating due to minor defects. A performance of distinctive quality.
Good (3): A good performance, but not one that is outstanding. Shows accomplishment and marked promise, but lacks one or more essential qualities.
Fair (4): A performance that shows some obvious weaknesses, generally weak and uncertain.
Poor (5): A performance which reveals much room for improvement. The students reveal almost a complete lack of
preparedness and understanding.

Clayton County Public Schools is excited to host our 2nd Annual Employee Spirit Week and North vs. South Employee Basketball Game! We encourage all employees to participate in the daily spirit activities and share their photos by tagging on all social media platforms.
Last year, Coach James Morrow (Jonesboro High School) led the South Team to victory over the North. This year, the competition continues as Coach Martisse Troup (North Clayton High School) will lead the North Team, while Coach Fernando Daniel (Mundy’s Mill High School) will coach the South Team.
Please help us spread the word as we prepare to showcase our CCPS Spirit across the district!
In addition, we are asking all members of the Divine Nine (D-9) to support this event by:

Donating toiletry items that will be given to the Calvary House Homeless Shelter
Preparing for the Greek Stroll Off during halftime

We look forward to an exciting week filled with school spirit, friendly competition, and community support!
